In the live-streamed presentation from Lithuanian Composer's Union Justina Repeckaite speaks about her works for solo instruments & tape: Toro, performed by the tubist Mikas Kurtinaitis & Incantare, performed by the flautist Salomeja Kalvelyte. Justina speaks (in Lithuanian!) about her interest in using singing while playing the wind instruments and inspirations for her compositions: corrida, - for Toro (2015) and charms, - for Incantare (2018).

Transduced at Centre Pompidou
Justina Repeckaite’s Cursus IRCAM composition Transduced (2020, binaural sound) for percussion, 3 transducers & electronics performed by Yannick Monnot at the Center Pompidou and streamed during Manifeste festival, Paris. Lights – Pauline Falourd, video – Année Zéro, sound engineer – Jérémie Bourgogne, tutor – Jean Lochard.
Weaving on ARTE Concert
Project Nouveaux Horizons was initiated by the violinist Renaud Capuçon and violist Gérard Caussé. On the 18th of October Justina’s composition Weaving for ensemble was performed at the Grand Theatre of Provence. Watch it on Arte Concert or on Radio France presented by Arnaud Merlin.
Presentation at Ircam (2019)
A short video presentation in French of Repeckaite’s music is available on IRCAM‘s website alongside other composers from the Cursus Ircam 2019-2020 program. Filmed on the 5th of November 2019 at IRCAM Justina shares her love for proportion, main influences, key ideas, and excerpts of her music (La Cité des Dames, Incantare, Designation & Expulsion).
Incantare on Mediated Scores
A video following Justina’s score is on the Mediated Scores youtube page. In the video Claire Luquiens plays Incantare (2018) for flute and tape filmed by David Daurier at National Library of France. The piece was commissioned by Le Balcon and Fondation Singer-Polignac. Read more about Incantare here.
