Incantare (2018) in Amsterdam

On February 11th of Justina’s composition Incantare (2018) for flute and tape will be performed by Tarmo Johannes in a concert Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam: Flute Solo & T R O M P O Ensemble at Plein Theater, Amsterdam. Tarmo Johannes first played an adapted version of Incantare in 2021 for bass flute during Baltic & Estonian Music Days. Co-commissioned by Le Balcon  and Fondation Singer-Polignac Incantare was premiered in Paris by Claire Luquiens.

Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam is concert series, which explores new ideas in sound and word.

The series offers the opportunity to reflect on the present time and thus forms a laboratory for today's sound. The curators and artistic directors of Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam are composer Aspasia Nasopoulou and bass clarinetist Fie Schouten.
